The High Steaks Movement is working with family farmers to encourage transition to regenerative food production. Through financial aid, consultation and building a profitable market, we can help growers restore rather than strain natural resources. Ethical land and animal stewardship has the power to do more good for carbon sequestration, soil rehabilitation and ecosystem revival than many other green initiatives. Thriving family farms also strengthen our rural communities.

A world wide shift to plant based diets is critical to our future survival, but properly managed cattle can play an important role in land rehabilitation. Since wild grazers no longer flourish on plains, livestock can be used to trample the Earth as nature intended and restore carbon capturing soil and grasslands. Once fertile again, responsible crop growers can preserve it with the right techniques.

Healthy land is a lot less vulnerable to droughts and flooding. It promotes biodiversity. With the global rise in forest wildfires, capturing carbon in soil is more secure. The effects of climate change and degradation threaten our future food supply and since hearty land is more resilient, it must be prioritized. If you eat beef, try to eat regenerative.
